Kachina Gordan

I’m Kachina Gordan, and I'm Executive Assistant to Kirk Sarff and Steve Spinner, providing them administrative support, which frees up their time to focus on recruiting, advising and teaching agents.

I work behind the scenes, assisting agents with providing quotes, scrubbing applications, submitting the applications with all necessary requirements and informing agent of case status. I'm here to ensure the process runs smooth for the agent so they can focus on their clients.

Everyone at New Horizons, has been so welcoming. There is a sense of family, where everyone is encouraged to be successful but also have the flexibility to focus on family. I'm excited to continue my career here with the New Horizons team.

My background is in Human Resources, I was with ADM for 13 years where I dealt with many aspects of HR; Staffing, FMLA, Payroll, Onboarding, Colleague development, etc. Prior to ADM, I was at Bachrach's Corporate office as a Benefits Administrator.

I grew up in Decatur, IL, currently living in Oakley. I grew up in a time where we were outside all day until the sun went down, so many fond memories of my childhood. I was very blessed with a loving family that nurtured my strengths and has supported me throughout my life.

Integrity and Respect are values that drive me daily. Treat others the way you want to be treated, just be kind, everyone is struggling with something and you could make their day by one small gesture.

My son is out of the house, my boyfriend has a son as well, we enjoy spending time with them both. I have a very close family and amazing group of friends, they are like family. With them, we enjoy game nights, cookouts, traveling, etc… During my downtime you will find me reading a book, listening to a true crime podcast, or catching up on our favorite shows.
