Beginning Dec. 30, 2024, you will no longer be able to offer Wellabe’s Medicare Supplement insurance in Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Utah, and West Virginia. This change only impacts Medicare Supplement insurance; all other Wellabe products sold in these states will remain available. Any existing policyholders will not be impacted.
This decision was not made lightly. However, the exit is necessary to maintain rate stability for your clients and our policyholders. The Medicare Supplement industry is experiencing higher loss ratios in these markets, and Wellabe is making the exit to avoid higher-than-average rate increases.
