Hospital Indemnity 2.0 from Medico

Medico is enhancing their Hospital Indemnity product. Starting June 1, 2022, new and current clients will have access to new benefits without any change to cost. Hospital Indemnity marketing materials can be found at the link below.

Some of the new benefits include:

• A guaranteed issue period for clients who are 64-67 years old at the time they sign the application
• A three-day benefit period on the base hospital confinement benefit
• New and existing customers no longer need to be admitted to a hospital emergency room within 24 hours of receiving treatment to use the Emergency Room benefit

You will also be able to quote and provide policies to clients down to age 18 in all states where the product is available (except Kansas and Montana, where the minimum issue age remains at 50).
