Last November, Everest announced a corporate decision to accept underwritten applications and apply “consideration” underwriting if the heart/stroke or musculoskeletal/arthritic question, #8(c) and #8(d) in the generic application (question #’s may vary by state), were answered “Yes”. Subsequently, we filed a revised Medicare supplement application to support this change (*see an attached generic example*). Effective Monday, April 9th, Everest is releasing the revised application as it has been approved in ALL states and will be supported on modified electronic applications (E-APP) platform.*Key Points:* - Everest will continue to accept OLD applications signed prior to *May 15th, 2018*, so please continue to utilize your current inventory until this date - Agents can download and print the new applications packets from the *State Forms/Documents (Supplies)* website - A revised New Business & Underwriting Manual”, form *EVMSNBUM 04.2018*, will be available on the Agent Portal next week *Revised E-APP* Everest was aware the existing E-APP, although functional, was not very user friendly.
