On November 8, 2024, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the Medicare Part A and Part B premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts for 2025, along with Medicare Part D adjustments.

Medicare Part B Premium and Deductible

The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B will be $185.00 in 2025, an increase of $10.30 from $174.70 in 2024.

Additionally, the annual Part B deductible will rise to $257, up by $17 from 2024. These changes reflect projected increases in healthcare spending and adjustments based on utilization trends.

Part B Premiums for High-Income Beneficiaries

Medicare Part A Premium and Deductible

The Part A inpatient hospital deductible will be $1,676 in 2025, an increase of $44 from 2024. This deductible covers the first 60 days of hospital care in a benefit period. Coinsurance amounts are:

  • Days 61-90: $419/day (up from $408 in 2024)
  • Lifetime reserve days: $838/day (up from $816 in 2024)
  • Skilled nursing facility (days 21-100): $209.50/day (up from $204.00 in 2024)

For individuals with less than 30 quarters of coverage, the full Part A premium will be $518/month in 2025, a $13 increase from 2024. Those with at least 30 quarters of coverage may pay a reduced premium of $285/month, a $7 increase from 2024.

Part B Immunosuppressive Drug Premium

Beneficiaries who qualify for Part B immunosuppressive drug-only coverage will pay a standard premium of $110.40 in 2025, up from $103.00 in 2024. Premiums for high-income beneficiaries with only immunosuppressive drug coverage are:
